The General Election this year is on Tuesday, November 4th. Many candidates are running for office- both incumbent and challengers. Many issues are on the ballot as well to be voted up or down by the people.
Campaigns advertise- in hopes of winning votes for their candidates or their causes. The same techniques that are used to advertise a product are use to advertise for a political candidate or issue. Propaganda is the name given to advertising sometimes when it involves politics.
During the 13 Colonies Unit you will be given the project of creating ads for one region of the Colonies... designed to attract settlers and immigrants, and you will use the same techniques.
